River’s Edge’s students have many amazing opportunities to be involved in good, quality extracurricular activities.

We offer band through the American Independent Music Association (AIMA), for grades 4th through 12th.

For 8th-12 graders, we have our own Ultimate Frisbee team, whose boys varsity team is the reigning state Division 2 champion.  We also have a cooperative with Concord Christian School, which allows our students to play any middle school or high school sport on a CCS team.

Each campus may have different clubs and groups, so contact your campus manager to get an updated list of opportunities.

Where are you located?

We have three locations around Knoxville.  We have two Elementary Campuses and one central Middle and High School Campus. Our West preschool class actually meets at the Middle and High School Campus.

What classes are offered in the middle school and high school?

Our current class schedule is posted online.  The new offerings for the next school year typically come out the week of Open Houses.

Can my middle or high school student shadow another student at the school?

Yes, middle and high school students can shadow our students.  Families can contact Amy Fellhoelter at 865-201-1192 or to make arrangements to set up a visit to our school.

What curriculum do you use?

River’s Edge does require parents to purchase all the curriculum that is needed for their students. Our curriculum committee is composed of administrators, parents and teachers and they work hard every year to find the best curriculum that fits the needs of our school.  You can read more about our curriculum and see the current curriculum for K4-12th grade on our “What We Teach” page.

Is there a dress code or uniform that my child will be required to wear?

River’s Edge does not have a uniform on any of it’s campuses, but we do have dress code requirements.  These can be found in section 10 of our General Policy Manual.

What academic advising support do you supply to high school students?

We have a full time academic advisor available to all of our high school families.  Dr. Jones holds a Doctorate degree in Education, with a Bachelors degree in Psychology, and has worked for three colleges over her lifetime, both as an instructor and in Academic Affairs.  Her most recent college occupation was working as the Dual Enrollment Specialist/Director of Special Credit Programs for Pellissippi State.
