Mark Allison earned his B.A. (Pre-teaching: emphasis U.S. Culture) and M.S. (Education) from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He then spent a few years working in the Lenoir City Schools, as an intern, a special education assistant, and a middle and elementary school teacher. In 2001, Mark responded to a call to church ministry. He and his wife, Christy, moved to Memphis, Tennessee, where he attended Memphis Theological Seminary, earned his Masters of Divinity, and served as the youth director of a Korean church. Since 2001, Mark has filled a variety of roles serving churches in East, Middle, and West Tennessee, as well as Northeast Mississippi. Mark returned to the classroom at RECA in the fall of 2012. In addition to serving as a MS/HS U.S. History teacher, Mark continues to serve in local church ministry as the pastor of Victory Chapel Baptist Church. Mark and Christy both teach at RECA, and have two children who both attend RECA. In his free time, Mark likes to read, play music, watch movies, UT sports, play games, and spend time with family.
