Laura Howard earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree with a concentration in Agribusiness Management from Tennessee Tech University and a Master’s of Science Degree in Agricultural Economics with a concentration in Agribusiness from the University of Tennessee. She is teaching Personal Finance and Speech and Presentation at RECA this year. She and her husband, Josh, have 2 children who attend RECA. Her family is active at Wallace Memorial Baptist Church where she enjoys teaching and volunteering in the preschool ministry. Laura had numerous experiences working for UT Extension as an Area Farm Management Specialist, assisting agricultural producers and rural business owners with financial planning and record keeping. She also coordinated and spoke at various Extension events including Women in Agriculture, Farmland Legacy, field days and county meetings. Teaching financial record keeping workshops was also a passion. In the past few years, Laura has enjoyed growing a direct sales organization, bookkeeping and co- teaching her children. In her free time, Laura enjoys reading, quilting, family game night, and spending time with her family. Laura’s favorite verse is Ephesians 2:8-10. “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith --- not that of yourselves, it is a gift from God --- not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
